More Information about Podiatry-related Services

At Doctor Today we can diagnose and treat several problems which may be caused by or related to your feet, ankles, knees, legs and hips. The particular services we offer are:

1. Standard Podiatry Consultation (30 minutes) (£45)

   All new podiatry patients require an initial consultation, which may include diagnosis of lower limb pathology, and/or routine treatment of corns callus and verrucae.

2. Biomechanical Assessment (1 hour) (£90)

   A biomechanical assessment is an examination of the lower limb, spine and gait. It is used in the treatment of common biomechanical problems such as flat feet, heel pain, arch pain, painful bunions, ankle instability, knee pain and lower back pain. These conditions are often treated by the provision of insoles and orthoses. We can provide a range of insoles as well as semi-customized orthoses (pre-manufactured devices modified to suit patient needs) and fully-customized orthoses (designed and manufactured according to patient needs using CAD/CAM design technology).

3. Nail Surgery (1 hour) (£205)

   Nail problems such as ingrown toenails can be corrected by either partial or total removal of the nail plate. This relatively painless procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic.

4. Verruca Excision (1 hour) (£245)

   Verrucae are caused by a viral infection which can be picked up in swimming pools, gyms and other communal areas. Surgical excision of verrucae can be used to remove unwanted or painful lesions.
